The Mile Pocklington was launched as a Farmers' Shop (as opposed to the modern day Farm Shop) in 1997 to service the needs of the local farming community bringing together animal feed and food.
It has evolved over the years, but the one constant over the decades has been Barnes family of Colin, Jo (and latterly the next generation, Loren & Jake) who continue to develop new ideas for visitors to the Campsite, Café, Shop and Pock Paws Dog Park.
The Caravan Park is ideally situated at the foot of the stunning Yorkshire Wolds, soon to be classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, enabling access to wonderful walk-routes.
We are also located a short 15 minute walk from the picturesque market town of Pocklington, where independent bars, restaurants, and shops can be found.
Meanwhile, a short drive down the A1079 will take you to the historic walled city of York, with plenty of shops and eateries, and the world-renowned Shambles, while our location also provides good access to the Yorkshire Coastline.
