Our Location

The Caravan Park is ideally situated at the foot of the stunning Yorkshire Wolds, soon to be classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, enabling access to wonderful walk-routes.

We are also located a short 15 minute walk from the picturesque market town of Pocklington, where independent bars, restaurants, and shops can be found.

Meanwhile, a short drive down the A1079 will take you to the historic walled city of York, with plenty of shops and eateries, and the world-renowned Shambles, while our location also provides good access to the Yorkshire Coastline.

Welcome to The Mile Caravan Site. We're delighted to offer a variety of hard-standing and generously sized grass pitches for your stay. Our site is open all year round, thanks to our flatwell-draining land. However, please note that this means you'll need rock pegs during the summer months. Nestled in a picturesque location, our site offers stunning views overlooking the Yorkshire Wolds. We're also fortunate to witness some truly gorgeous sunsets that can add a touch of magic to your stay!

We look forward to welcoming you and ensuring you have a memorable stay.

Important to know - at a glance:

Check in time is between 12 noon and 8 pm, check out time is 12 noon

We do not accept tents or cars with roof tents

We cannot allow firepits

We do not accept electric cars

We do not have a childrens park, or an area to play ball games

Maximum of 2 dogs per unit (unless by prior arrangement)

All dogs must be kept on a lead

Make a booking

Our site features a heated wet-room style building, equipped with a shower, toilet and washbasin for your comfort and convenience. Access to these facilities is via a ramp, there are 4 wetrooms, and 1 disabled wetroom facility (please ask for the key). Washroom facilities are cleaned daily during the afternoon, and will be closed for the duration. During busy times there are unisex toilets situated next to the wetrooms that can be utilised. There is an undercover washing up area featuring two stainless steel sinks, a steel BBQ ashes bin, and notice boards featuring our latest menu's and events

Other onsite facilities include:

Licenced cafe with inside and outside seating & pop up pub

Shop selling local produce, pet and animal food and associated products.

Events Barn available for private functions, camping rallies etc.

Campers Dog Exercise area open from 8 am to 8 pm

Pock Paws secure dog excercise area for hire for 30 minute and 60 minute slots featuring an undercover picnic bench, and agility equipment

Lovely , peaceful dog friendly site ideal for a little getaway. Clean facilities -showers/toilets. Really nice farmshop and cafe ,selling the most delicious treats ( definitely recommend the fruit scones !! ) near to village and shops/pubs.

When we arrived we were welcomed like a family member by the owners. They showed us what we neaded to know plus advice about the great village in walking distance � Pocklington. I must say the facilities are 5-star. The Cafe/ Farm Shop is brilliant with great homemade food served by lovely, friendly staff � definitely a place to visit.

We stayed for 5 nights and loved every minute. All the staff were so kind, friendly and welcoming. My children loved being able to watch the horses and had space to run around. The food in the cafe was lovely and the indoor soft play kept my two occupied for ages. Lovely walks near by and a short walk into the town. We will definitely visit again.

Terms & Conditions

CANCELLATION POLICY

Full payment is taking on making a booking. If you need to make changes to your booking, you can do free of charge if you give us more than 7 days notice. No changes can be made within 7 days. For cancellations with more than 7 days notice we can refund you 80% of your payment, within 7 days 50%

NOISE
Quiet time is between 10.30 pm and 7.30 am, please consider others, keep noise, music, animals, children, etc to a minimum. No vehicle movement after this time – unless in an emergency – if using a taxi, please get dropped off at the front of the site to avoid disruption.

DRIVING
The speed limit is STRICTLY 5MPH as soon as you turn off the main road and around the site. In addition to having children on the site, there are free-range cats, and goats wandering around so please be extra vigilant, especially when driving along the side of the shop where customers often come out of the feed barn.

SMOKING & LITTER
No smoking is allowed in the buildings and toilets. If you are a smoker, please do not discard your cigarette butts on the ground. Please use the bins provided for all general domestic litter. You are not allowed to use these bins for any old camping or electrical equipment. There is a local tip around 2 miles away for this, please ask a member of staff for directions.

DOGS
Dogs are welcome, a maximum of 2 per unit. All dogs MUST be kept on a lead at all times when on the site. Even though your dog may be obedient, there are times when you will not be aware of where your dog is fouling. Please clear up after your dog. Dogs are not allowed in the toilets or shower facilities, well-behaved dogs are welcome in the café and shop. We do not have a specific dog walking field on-site, however, there are many local dog-walking routes, please just ask. We do not allow dogs on the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991

WASTE
Wipes, nappies, and sanitary products must not be flushed down the toilet, please wrap and place in the bins provided. Do not empty your waste down the toilet, the Elsan point or CDP is to be used for all chemical toilet waste, the grey water disposal point are both situated in the wooden shed.

WIFI
Wifi is an automatic connection, it should appear as ‘Happy Campers’. You will need to complete registration then create your password to gain access.

BALL GAMES
Please be aware that there is not a designated area for ball games and no ball games are allowed on the site. There are several parks in Pocklington, the closest being a 10-minute walk away, please just ask for directions.

WATER
Please do not use this opportunity for washing your caravan or car or filling large padding pools without prior consent.

GROUPS
We do not allow group bookings, even if you book individually then appear to be a group on arrival you will be asked to leave.

COVID GUIDELINES
During this present time, there are strictly no guests or visitors allowed on the campsite during your stay. Currently, each guest needs to scan our QR code or fill in the form you will receive on arrival.

BBQ’s & FIREPITS
Please use the BBQ disposal point which is located at the bottom of the ramp to the shower block for charcoal and disposable BBQ's. Sorry no Fire Pits are allowed onsite, our insurance doesn't cover them

CCTV
Please be aware that the site has CCTV situated at the entrance, at the bins, and on the site itself.

The owners are absolved of all liability for accidents to caravans, or motorhomes, guests, and from responsibility for loss or damage to personal property. The owners reserve the right to ask any persons not observing these conditions, or creating a nuisance to leave the site.
